Information You Submit
A third-party provider receives names, phone numbers, or addresses entered in a search box. Our servers do not retain those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details in your message and use them only to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Normal hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. We review totals to maintain the service and understand page use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or similar tools.
How the Data Is Used
These limited data help operate the service, diagnose faults, measure visits, and improve content. We neither sell visitor lists nor assemble individual user profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Illinois does not currently provide a comprehensive consumer-data deletion law identified in the governing research. The Illinois Personal Information Protection Act, 815 ILCS 530/1 et seq., chiefly addresses breach notice. We can search our contact mailbox and ordinary logs for data tied to a valid request; use the Contact page. Records held by Illinois, Cook County, or Oak Forest offices remain under the custodian's law and correction process.
Changes to This Policy
Revisions will appear on this page. Continued use after a revision is posted indicates acceptance of the new policy.
